To make this product, apply a thin layer of Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel to the affected areas on the skin, rubbing lightly. If the treated area is too sore to be painless, or has been for a long time for a skin problem, apply a light layer of Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel to the affected area of skin. If there is no pain, or has no pain at all, rub gently into the affected area and apply a light layer of Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel to the area of application. Do not use the Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel in children under 12 years of age and adolescents under 16 years of age.

Do not use Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel on children under 12 years of age and adolescents under 16 years of age or if you have a stomach or intestinal ulcer or bleeding disorder (such as Crohn’s disease or juvenile idiopathic arthritis), have a skin problem or allergic reaction to diclofenac, or take any other NSAID or other anti-inflammatory medicine in the same family, all during the last three months of each month, except the month before you have a baby.
Do not use Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel to treat arthritis of the shoulder or hand, or of the hip, wrist, or lower leg, or of the breast, if you have osteoarthritis of the shoulder or hand or if you have a tendon problem such as Botelles arthritis. Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel may cause burning or the appearance of pain when applied to the skin, so it is important to keep it out of the eyes and ears. If the product is applied to the skin with a skin problem, or allergic reaction, do not use. Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel can make skin worse if applied to the skin around the affected joint. If a pain pain gel is applied to the skin with a skin problem or allergic reaction, do not use. Voltaren Arthritis Pain Gel can make skin more sensitive to the sun.
